The Andalucian Government have established reduced taxes for buying a property until December 31st 2021. This has been done to motivate buyers to invest in property in Andalucia and reactivate the economy in the area.
The reduced taxes are as follows:
- Transfer tax: Reduced from the progressive 8-10% to a flat rate of 7%
- Stamp duty: Reduced from 1,5% to 1,2%
The transfer tax is paid by anyone who buys a property while the stamp duty affects new developments and mortgages ( in Spain).
